OUR STORY
GOD'S HAND HAS BEEN ON CROSS POINTE
From a Small Group to a Growing Family
Cross Pointe Community Church began in December 2004 when a small group of believers gathered in the home of Larry and Rosanne Petton in Springdale with a vision for a new church in the growing Tontitown area. They believed Northwest Arkansas needed a church where people from every background could encounter the hope of Jesus in a welcoming, contemporary environment centered on biblical truth and genuine relationships. That vision became Cross Pointe, built around one simple purpose: helping people build relationships with God, family, friends, and the world around them.
In January 2005, the church secured its first facility on Highway 412 and began transforming it into a worship center and children’s ministry space. Just months later, Cross Pointe held its first public services on August 21, 2005, welcoming more than 200 people. As the church continued to grow, ministries expanded, Life Groups were launched, and additional buildings were added to create more space for students, children, and families. In 2019, a new atrium opened after years of prayer and planning, creating even more room for connection and ministry.
Today, Cross Pointe continues to serve the families of Tontitown, Springdale, Fayetteville, Rogers, and the surrounding Northwest Arkansas region. Following the faithful leadership legacy of founding pastor Dr. Larry Petton, Lead Pastor Garris Hudson now guides the church into a new season of ministry. Cross Pointe remains committed to helping people find hope, discover purpose, and experience life-changing relationships through Jesus Christ.
